Techno-Economic Planning and Operation of the Microgrid Considering Real-Time Pricing Demand Response Program

The optimal planning of grid-connected microgrids (MGs) has been extensively studied in recent years. While most the previous studies have used fixed or time-of-use (TOU) prices for sizing MGs, this work introduces real-time pricing (RTP) implementing a demand response (DR) program according to national grid Iran. In addition long-term MG, day-ahead operation MG is also analyzed get better understanding DR daily electricity dispatch. For purpose, four different days corresponding seasons are selected further analysis. addition, various impacts proposed on results, including and best configuration, net present cost (NPC) energy (COE), emission generation by utility grid, investigated. optimization results show that implementation positive impact technical, economic, environmental aspects MG. NPC COE reduced about USD 3700 0.0025/kWh, respectively. component size reduced, resulting reduction initial cost. Carbon emissions 185 kg/year.
